Welcome to one of our favorite places to visit. Alexandria Bay and The Thousand Islands. This cache will bring you to Scenic View Park and Casino Island. Connecting the main land to Casino Island is a small replica bridge like the one you cross to get to Wellesley Island and Canada. This tiny island was home to a casino from 1902 till it burned in 1922. From here you can take in the wonderful views of the world famous Boldt Castle. Further up North you can see Sunken Rock Lighthouse. If you have never done so I recommend taking a boat ride on the St. Lawrence Sea Way and a visit to Boldt Castle in season you can also stop at Mr. Boldt's Yacht House. The coordinates will take you to a monument in memory of a member of the 10th Mountain Division based in near by Watertown. The pass word required to log this cache is the last name of the man who paid the ultimate sacrifice for his country.
