Description   EN

Near one of the entrances to Charlotte Douglas International Airport, is a piece of art by Ed Carpenter.  It always reminds me of a homing beacon for U.F.O.s so it seemed appropriate that is was near the airport. There is a plaque at the base detailing who the piece was dedicated in honor of and some details about the piece as well as the artist's statement.

Plane descended on time, but took a while longer than expected to deplane passengers. So, I headed over here while waiting, instead of idling more in the cell lot. Flowers around GZ were getting a bit dried out, but were still very pretty. Enjoyed the diversion while waiting. ☢
