This cache was inspired by the Xtreme GPS Team (Team KFWB) and
the GPS games they put out for us.
These games are hosted at
VIGPS
The FTF prize is an unactivated geocoin donated by the Landsharkz
To find the instructions for this cache you have two starting
positions:
1- from 12 T 440963 4482390 follow a round world bearing of
226.5889 degrees True .
2- from 12 T 450023 4462050 follow a round world bearing of
265.3787 degrees True .
Where these two bearing lines cross you will find a tree hanging bottle with further instructions on how to complete this cache. (these lines cross twice, obviously it is the waypoint 4330 meters from the posted coordinates, not the one half way around the world)
This cache requires in depth knowledge of your GPS and navigation skills. It involves tasks such as projecting waypoints and plotting bearing lines. It might be a good idea for you to dig out your manual and bring it with you.
Depending on how much time you spend fiddling with your GPS this
cache will take a full afternoon, or perhaps even multiple days to
complete.
You may find your head spinning and cursing our name before you are
done.
And... Gasp,
You will be forced to use the metric system!
and UTM coordinates!
You will however be rewarded with seeing several little pieces
of history in the valley south of Eagle Mountain City Center.
Places you most likely never knew existed.
The furthest place you will visit is only about 5 miles from the
posted coordinates.
*To log this cache, in addition to visiting the locations listed in the bottle, you must also email the answers to the questions
Pictures at all locations are welcomed and encouraged as long as they don't include the answers to questions.
