The posted coordinates will bring you to the final resting place of Chief Oshkosh of the Menominee Tribe.
During his time as Chief of the Menominee Indians, Chief Oshkosh played a key role in the negotiations to protect their lands in Wisconsin. He lived from 1795-1858. He died in Keshena and his remains were later moved to Menominee Park in Oshkosh in 1926.
The city of Oshkosh, WI was named in his honor.
