http://www.purplepeoplebridge.com/History/tabid/536/Default.aspx It is said that this is the longest pedestrian bridge between two states. It shares a trait with another famous bridge, Pond des Arts foot bride, where lovers will add a padlock to the bridge and toss the keys in the river to seal their love. Careful if you plan to cross this bridge in winter, it is not treated. To log this cache you must do the following: 1. Find a sister city on the information pillar at the entrance to the bridge and find which as the largest population numbers per mile and post it. 2. Take a picture with you and/or you GPS unit with the bridge and either Newport on the Levee or the Cincinnati skyline 3. Pick a lock that catches your fancy and take a photo of it with your gps unit. Then cross on over to Newport for some refreshments, ice cream or a bite to eat before continuing.
