Description EN
While not particularly well documented on the interwebs, some believe the first governor of Connecticut mined gold in this area, in a finger of Meshomasic State Forest, off Great Hill Pond Road. To log this find, upload a picture of yourself with what you believe could be an old mining location in the background. Please avoid private property outside the Forest property.
