I had been looking at this cache for a long time, and finally had a chance to grab it today. Parking was super-easy and I enjoyed reading the signage and walking around a bit. After taking the photo and jotting down the password, I walked over to the river and looked around as well. Custer was an interesting individual, and this is a prominent statue---Thanks for bringing us here!

I've lived in and around the Monroe area my entire life, thus far. I've long known the history around Gen. Custer, but have usually only been told of the less than successful battles nearing the end of his life.
This cache is less than 3/4 mile from my home and I see it nearly every day. Never knew of any caching sites outside of Geocaching.com until I randomly did an Internet search today to see if any other sites were dedicated to the game. In a fortunate turn of events, I stumbled upon Opencaching!
