Found the cache as a skirmish attack on the blue team from the red team for the GCGC relay. TFTC!

After the flash mob event, I walked over here as another group returned. It&#039;s a nice spot. Other than the heat I enjoyed the short walk. I was going to look for the GC cache very near, except someone was sitting near that gz, so I moved on. Was down from Maryland with sfcchaz for a (mostly) alt-caching run thru Charlotte.  This was day two, after a surprisingly well attended 0630 (AKA o'dark thirty) event at Krispy Kreme (maybe that explains it).

Was glad to log the nearby GS puzzle after reading the warning on the cache page and deciding to look around.

We had a great time and definitely plan to make a return trip some time.

Last time I was hear (2012) and looking for the other cache, I left my GPS on the bench or wall and didn't realize until I got to Walgreen.  Didn't repeat my mistake this time.  This memorial was dedicated on my birthday.

DudleyGrunt and I came down to North Carolina to seek some OCNA caches. They are many, many OCNA caches in the Charlotte area and we wanted to seek them during the current contest going on the OCNA site.

Today I found 45 OCNA cahes, 5 Groundspeak caches, 1 GPSgames.org cache , 1 Opencaching.com cache and several possible Terracaching.com locationless caches.

This was a great cache and made me feel better afte DNFing the Wet Paint cache near here. TFTC

After being right next to the horse yesterday without realizing there was a new cache here, we came back this morning to grab the FTF!  Love this area of Matthews - lots to enjoy without needing a vehicle.  TFTC!
