The Niagara (River) Gorge is awesome! Discover it here at the Discoverty Center! The following is a description of the Discovery Center from it's own website.
Experience the Niagara Gorge Discovery Center, a showcase of the natural history of Niagara Falls, and the surrounding area. The discovery center features miles of Niagara Falls hiking trails, plus hands-on interactive displays, a 180 degree multi-screen theatre experience, and a towering rock climbing wall complete with fossils and geological formations. Most everyone who tours the Discovery Center agrees; Niagara Falls Geology rocks!
Kind of corny yes, but there you have it. This is a BIT cache, there is no container to find. Physical Geocaches have been banned in the Niagara Gorge since about 2005, but there are nine grandfathered ones down there on the American side listed on Geocaching.com. Please note that only two of them, 1/2 KAHUNA and THE BIG KAHUNA'S are accessable by descending into the gorge from near the Discovery Center. The trail dead ends shortly after them, you can go no further! See the individual cache pages for where to park for the other seven, six of which are accessable from one parking location.
There is free parking at the Discovery Center, but it often fills up in the Summer. You can also park for free at the Aquarium of Niagara, and take a pedestrian bridge to the Discovery Center. This is approximately a 3/4 mile round trip walk.
