I was out this way to find two new CycleAngela caches. On the page for one of them, she said she'd gone as far as she could without crossing the river. That had made me think it would be back closer to here. Since I hadn't been back here for some time, I thought I'd walk back and check out the area where I'd hidden my first cache (Only A Lad), back in 2006. I brought along a small lock-n-lock filled with American flag pins. I hope you'll consider bringing some sort of pin with you to trade. If not, feel free to tak a flag pin, anyway, and wear it with pride.
You'll have to make your way around some natural obstacles just after leaving the end of the improved trail. Before leaving the improved trail you will have an opportunity to take a break on a bench or use a port-a-potty, though.
Once you get past these obtacles, though, you can stick to a decent natural, unimproved trail. In fact, you will not even need to leave the trail to find the cache.
If you are having trouble, I have included a SPOILER pic. Try to reserve that as a last resort.
Still, BE CAREFUL while searching. Use a stick to check any place you can't see into.
This cache is located on Howard County Park Property. Please DO NOT seek at night. They are willing to allow geocaching in their parks, so please stick to their rules.
One of the rules you may want to be sure to take not of on their signs is "NO NUDITY". Apparently, it's been enough of a problem, that they felt the need to spell it out.
