Banshee
A Cinemax filming location in Charlotte
This is the Davis General store along Old Statesville Rd.
Founded by the Davis Brothers, This is one of the oldest General stores in the Charlotte area. Inside they still have the old ledger books where Charlotte farmers traded goods for what they needed.
This is a photo from Google Streetview as the Forge appeared before the site was selected to become one of the filming locations for the Cinemax series Banshee.
The production crew digitally alters the sign replacing "Company Gen. Store" with "Forge" leaving the brothers name intact. A roofed front porch was added to the front of the store along with a second story to the building on the right that became the residence of the ex-con impersonating a Sherriff for the town of Banshee in PN.

With the loss of tax breaks for media industries, filming at the site has ended as of 2015. Future shows will be filmed in PN.
