This cache was placed in honor of our mother’s 80th Birthday Bash held in Hot Springs, Arkansas, on May 28, 2010. It was a festive event in which all of Florence’s family and friends from coast to coast were there to celebrate this milestone in her life. We originally wanted to place the cache in Entergy Park in Hot Springs, but couldn’t maintain it from Beavercreek, OH. Entergy Park was once a village for the employees of Carpenter Dam. Florence’s husband and our dad, Rex, worked at Carpenter Dam for over 34 years. Our family lived in the village during our childhood years. During the past decade the village was converted into a lovely park where several geocaches are hidden. We searched for a suitable location closer to home and finally discovered this wonderful vista between Beavercreek and Xenia. We hope you enjoy your visit to this peaceful location.
Regrettably, Florence died on Sunday, June 27, 2010 at her residence. She was born on May 28, 1930 in Malvern, AR. We hope this cache will help her memory to live on through the years that follow.
You’re searching for a small plastic water-tight container large enough for a log book and a few tradables. A small ink pen is in the container.
We're giving this one a terrain rating of 2 because of the steep hill you must climb to reach GZ.
