The third GeoCache to be placed within the heart of Fine Park. My favorite park in Lansing.
Fine Park is a minimally developed park
in the City of Lansing which is located along the Grand River, on the
south side of the very west end of Glenburne Blvd. Our first cache was
placed May of 2006. In the summer of 2016, the Parks department, with
much assistance from the Mid-Michigan Mountain Biking Association
(MMMBA), blazed 3 miles of mountain bike / hiking trails within this
park. They also blazed over 3 miles to the north. Whereas, it was once
difficult to get to this cache, without getting wet, there are now two
nice bridges for crossing the creek.
The cache container is an ammo case,
which started with various flotsam and jetsam found lying about the
house. The walk is on a small foot/mountain bike trail, with a few small
hills. One could also get very close to the cache by boat.
