This cache offers a leisurely stroll and a beautiful view… NOT! You will have a beautiful view with opportunities for a new vantage point to take some awesome photos of Decew Falls and Morningstar Mill from below, but you’re going to have to work for it.
Park at Morningstar Mill (N43 06.598, W079 15.859). From here, follow the Bruce for a few hundred metres. You will then need to find a spot to scale the cliff. There are at least 3 spots we’ve been down (N43 06.670 W79 15.958, N43 06.669 W79 15.999 and N43 06.654 W79 16.108). Some of them have ropes in place, but bringing your own and knowing how to use it is good practice. This is a very steep rocky area and will be slippery and treacherous after rainfall. Once safely down the cliff, you will descend the valley to the stream and wade across to begin your search for the cache. This was the way the cache was placed; there are other ways there, but they may include bushwacking, a much longer walk, and trespassing (and we don’t want to do that).
Don’t forget your camera, and Happy Caching!
