Longstreet farm is a "living history" farm in Holmdel, Monmouth County, NJ. Take in the sights, smells & sounds of rural life in the 1890s. Watch the costumed interpretive staff plow, plant, harvest, cook & clean, honoring the methods & customs of the 19th century. Visit the blacksmith (demonstrations every 2rd Sunday 1-3PM), step inside the massive Dutch Barn, help milk a cow or grind corn, pet the horses, mules, sheep, hogs & chickens that roam the grounds. There's something going on at the farm in all seasons - just as there would be in a 19th century farm. The farm is open daily from 10am to 4pm and from 9am to 5pm between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Admission & parking is free. The posted coordinates will bring you to the visitor center and a standard micro hide. The cachetainer is small enough for only the log, a pencil fragment and the smallest of small swag but pathtags fit nicely.
Enjoy the farm & happy hunting!
