##** Previously I was feeling a little doubtful about my solution. Now even more so. We were in the vicinity so we looked. However, didn't find. Wow, a 5+ year lonely cache in Idlewild Park...not any more!

Amazing that this one is still in good shape. The log was in near perfect shape...I guess there needs to be more cache containers used like this one!

I arrived at where I figured GZ to be and couldn't find the cache. I dug though tons of leaves to no avail. I widened my radius and spotted a likely hiding spot. BINGO! I found the aforementioned blue pencil and was super happy to get my name on the log.

Thanks for another fun cache adventure in the best park around!

3468. This was a must do, as soon as I knew I was coming down. DNF'd once and then a little help from TH, my gps getting me closer to GZ and finding a tell tale blue pencil on the ground all helped to redeem the previous DNF.

Thanks and happy trails

I decided to do some "laundry" this morning and grab this cache. I pulled up early and saw where my GPS was pointing and the "City Official" that opened the gates this morning was sitting in his truck right next to GZ! While I was waiting for him to move or leave, I decided to pull up the cache page again read the previous logs. Then it dawned on me, he wasn't sitting by ground zero, this was a "quiz" cache! I looked at the cache page again and quickly solved the real coordinates. Now as I got closer, I started hearing dogs and knew I was in the right place. My GPS was bouncing around a bit because of the trees, but once I got near GZ, I let the geosense kick in and made the find. I had to take a second look just in case before I decided to pick it up! Although you left a big pencil, I think it is out of lead, I couldn't get it to write!

After reading Smithy P's log I knew I had to make an attempt on this one. I thought we'd just about given up when our coords led us to the same dang tree over and over. Reading SGK's log I knew we were in the right area, because the dogs were not happy we were there. With daylight running out and still having a LPC cache and Operation Endgame on the list for the evening, we had to make the find. And what a find it was! We have friends who are all into the zombie thing, so when we found the cache thought it was really cool and clever. Nice work on that one TH! Another notch on the relay list down....

My fellow GCGCers forced my hand to find this one. since it was coming off the Laundry List, I needed to make the find soon, and the rain let up just in time for a lunchtime run to Idlewild! It brought back a lot of memories of me tromping through the woods at lunchtime back before I had the park cleared.

This was a pleasant hunt in a really nice patch of woods to explore. After looking for about 5 minutes, I did begin to panic and had some PTSD flashbacks to my numerous "Sialis" DNFs. Fortunately for me, this ended up a lot happier. After I dealt with the guardian, I found the cache to be in great shape. I appreciated the large pencil left for those of us that often go caching on a whim, unprepared as I often do!

Thanks for the cache, TH. Too bad this does not count in my stats... I would favorite this if I could!
----------------------------------------------
Logged from my android phone using columbus

To what lengths will I go to get a few points on the GCGC relay? Why I'll even find a cache on a different website! Although not a fan of splitting my finds across multiple sites, this cache was certainly worth it and not just because of the relay. As usual, TH has created a container that fits the theme to a T, enough so that my son jumped back when he first discovered it! Nice work TH -- now we just need you to return to the "dark side" and forget about these rebel caching sites. ;-)

FA/AM came to watch gehound play his soccer game and then were headed home, and I suggest a slight detour to see if we could find the caching dead. Actually I think we prefer not to be found by the caching dead, so we did our best to be stealthy walking to GZ, but our steps and the leaves gave us away and the nearby dogs barked liked crazy. Since the caching dead are attracted to noise, we made a hasty retreat before we were their next meal! Thanks for a cool GCGC Theme Cache, TermiteHunter! Your caches never fail to impress.

We were able to avenge an earlier DNF today with stargatekrewe. Thanks for the great hide!

Auroral Mechanism and I returned to the scene of the massacre today with SGK. We were embarrased to locate the cache in one of the locations we thought we had previously checked thoroughly. TFTC. It was good to get back out caching again.

GeoCoin added to cache. You may have to "grab it from" me to log.

Yep, they're dead alright. I stopped at my favorite park in the world on my way back to a jobsite and managed to find the remains of the caching dead. Luckily for me, they left their container of swag behind (with a few other things) and a log that hadn't been signed yet. I fixed that and went back to work smiling. All hail the caching dead! Thanks TH for the fun!

Updated the coordinate clues for final. Previous location app. 15' off.

Hope these are better

We searched for roughly 30 minutes expanding our search radius but couldn't locate the cache. We are fairly certain we "solved" this one correctly.
