This cache has been taunting me for a couple of years----Every time I've driven by, I either didn't have time to stop or the place was covered in snow.

Today I was in Bellefontaine doing some caching and had ample time to breathe the rarified air at this scenic and historic spot.  I'll bet it was nice being stationed here back in the 60's.

I signed the log, then wandered around for a while taking pictures from several angles.  I almost left without grabbing the other caches associated with this place---I almost made it out the gate before realizing that they were here.  I turned around a re-visited, taking care of those tasks as well.

My log picture (I did the other signers a favor and blanked out their names in the jpg) is attached, as well as my "certificate."

Thanks for bringing me here!

Karen1962 and I came down from Ashtabula to Columbus for the Metro Parks event, and we as expected we had a great time.
The Columbus Metro Parks do an awesome job with their geo-trail and we can't wait to do it again next year.
After leaving the Metro Park, and getting some lunch, we headed off to Bellefontaine to grab some caches that were on our want to do list.  We arrived here and quickly found the traditional cache, and the earthcache that are here.  Then we were approached by a gentlemen that turned out to be one of the staff members.  Mr Walker was very nice and even offered to show us the inside of one of the radar towers.  It was readily apparent that he loves his job and this facility.  As we got ready to leave, he stopped us again and said to follow him.  He then proceeded to take us into the facility and let us explore the amazing displays that they have set up there.

After spending our morning at the Columbus MetroParks event, Falamazar and I along with my sister Kelly and her friend John all headed to Bellfantaine to pick up this lonely cache.

After signing the visitor's book and grabbing a points of interest booklet, we did the earthcache and traditional geocache that are here. I made sure to take a few pictures while we were enjoying ourselves.

Right about the time we were getting ready to leave, we were greeted by a gentleman who works at the school. After showing us the inside of one of the radar towers, he allowed us to go inside and see the displays for the 664th Air Force Squadron. Awesome!

This is another OpenCache that I was very surprised that no one had done yet as it totally rocked! Thank you.
