Was down from Maryland with sfcchaz for a (mostly) alt-caching run thru Charlotte.  This was day two, after a surprisingly well attended 0630 (AKA o'dark thirty) event at Krispy Kreme (maybe that explains it).

We had a great time and definitely plan to make a return trip some time.

Had fun crawling for this one and found quickly once at GZ.

Thanks and Happy Trails!

DudleyGrunt and I came down to North Carolina to seek some OCNA caches. They are many, many OCNA caches in the Charlotte area and we wanted to seek them during the current contest going on the OCNA site.

Today I found 45 OCNA cahes, 5 Groundspeak caches, 1 GPSgames.org cache , 1 Opencaching.com cache and several possible Terracaching.com locationless caches.

We found several BIT caches today. TFTC

Things worked out well today, where I had to venture out of my beloved Mint Hill toward Sardis Road!  I remembered this clever cache on the laundry list and I HAD TO DO IT!!!!
I was VERY IMPRESSED with the "Wall of Trees".  It was nearly impassable.  I was thinking about how an 8-BIT hero would get past it... I was hoping I could find a glowey magic portal of sorts that I could walk into that would transport me inside the wall.  I looked around and couldn't find one, so I did the obvious - crawl under!
After looking right at the hiding position, I chose to inspect EVERY "brick" in the wall.  No cache.  I was getting that dreaded DNF feeling that I feel way too often, then I began to re-check items I already looked at.  AHHHH... there it is.
Fun cache, and worthy tribute to Link and his Walls of Trees!

Using 64 bits I accessed the 3rd dimension and found the cache. This is the first hidden BIT I have found. All the previous BITs have been out in the open. I touched it and then decided to crawl around the barrier a while before returning to secure the 8 BIT cache. #967 GC 939 / OCus 23 / OCom 2 / TC 3
