Ah yes, a classic American scene. Second stop on my tour of the grounds after the Firefighters Memorial. Mrs.Yuck is 5'2", so you can see how big and impressive these figures are. Thanks for the cache!

Very moving memorial that I admire every time I'm here on campus. Thanks for hosting this virtual.

02/29/2012 12:20 Found: I had no idea that I was an open caching cache when I picked it up. I was here to get the Fallen figherfigher's memorial cache to fill in a month in my jasmer challenge grid and figured I would pick these up while I was here. Though the downside is that I didn't bring my camera today as I didn't plan on needing it and I had left my phone in the car so after getting the information to claim the cache I ran back to the car and grabbed it and snapped a picture at the firefighter memorial as it was closest to the parking. At this point I was 20 minutes late for the start of the leaping lunch event and by the time I got the last cache and had went back to the car to get the camera for the pictures my nuvi was telling me that I would be arriving at the event 10 minutes after the posted end time so I didn't take the time to go back out to each of the other memorials to take individual pictures. This memorial though really hits close to home because my dad was a volunteer fire fighter for around 30 years until he had heart issues that prohibit him from being able to go into the fire but he still serves on the fire police for the fire company in my home town. My brother in law as well as all of his brothers are memebers of the fire company also so there were many times that the wives and the families would end up together while the fire company was out on a long hard call sending as much positive thoughts as we could to them so that they would all come home safe and sound.

Smile FTF Smile 10:10 AM.

I was in the area and wanted to stop by here to visit this location. This is a very nice memorial. Thanks for bringing me here to see it.

I think today may have been the first time I've logged finds in 4 different listing services. Opencaching.us, Navicache, Terracaching and Groundspeak.
