In town for work, there was a bit of sun remaining on this blustery day. I'd planned on hiking from the visitor center. No one was there, so I could have driven the rest of the way, but why mess up a good plan? The view from the bridge crossing the river was pretty, and the various "keep out" signs were interesting on the way. Took a leisurely stroll around the site, and made it back to the car just before dark. Headed over to the Vigilance park virtual after this.

Well I attended a DudleyGrunt event last weekend which brought to mind that I had been neglecting this site. So I decided to complete a couple of these today. Which I did, but I also got a DNF because I was unaware that a cache was archived. Had I been paying more attention to the site I would have known that.

I hadn't been back here in probably more than 10 years. I used to fish in this area and remember finding some wild (I believe) persimmon trees back here. I'll have to return before the first hard freeze and check them out. TFTC
