Was down from Maryland with sfcchaz for a (mostly) alt-caching run thru Charlotte. This was day two, after a surprisingly well attended 0630 (AKA o'dark thirty) event at Krispy Kreme (maybe that explains it).
We had a great time and definitely plan to make a return trip some time.
Again, I need to do one of these at home. I only log crosslisted caches as "found" on one site, but will be posting notes to the companion listings, as well.
Thanks and Happy Trails!

I was in the area caching with DudleyGrunt and grabbed this one. I'm giving it a recommendation for the multi-indie cache opportunity here.
I don't know how I failed to log it earlier, but I'm catching up now. TFTC.

My first log seemed to not show up, I was using Internet Explorer and there was a fault. I am hoping by using Google Chrome, my log will not disappear.
I found today with my daughter after a long hunt. This was the last of our caches today as we cleared one area of Idlewild Park (the best park for geocaching). I loved all the log books, several of which I have never seen.
I left a geokrety I made for my sons Bar Mitzvah for someone to take and log.
This is a very hard cache to find. It is very well camoed and not at all what I was expecting from the title.
Now I get the title!

FTF!!! I got the opencaching notification on this cache last night, and I was intrigued but didn't know when I could schedule a visit to the park. As luck would have it, I ended up driving by it today between jobs. I really tried to stay focused on work and thought about saving the cache for the weekend, but I just couldn't stop myself and turned the cachemobile into the parking lot. I didn't write the coordinates down earlier, and I couldn't get the opencaching site to come up on my phone - I called the CO who didn't have the coordinates with him, but he gave me a way to research them on my own. Took a few minutes, but I was in business shortly. I stumbled around in the woods for a while, and the CO appeared to watch my futility - I told him that I wanted no help, and he obliged by walking away to check his coords. I had a pre-conceived notion of what this cache would be, which was wrong of course, and once I got that out of my head, I made the find soon after. A nice, well-stocked cache - not too difficult to find, but not in a typical location. Also it's full of log books for every type of caching you may be into, and I decided to write my name in all of 'em! Back to work with a smile on my face after a good visit to Idlewild Park. Thanks TH, you’re a great ambassador for the game!
