Auroral Mechanism and myself stopped by here today as part of the GCGC Laundry List relay. (CharlotteGeocaching.com) It is great seeing glimpses of the history of the area as these days the "bank people" have comercialized and rescored the face of Charlotte in a modernized way.

I was heading down Tryon on my way home from work this afternoon and was about a half mile away when I remembered this one was on the GCGC Laundry List for 2 points and someone had already found it this week. Since I knew I wouldn't get another chance, I made a quick dive across the road and into the parking lot. Fortunately, I had been here before searching for a TerraCache so I knew exactly where to go. As I got out of my car, a lady was walking to hers and asked if she could help me. I told her I was just going to take a picture and I would be gone. She told me to be quick because she was about to lock up and leave. I dashed up, took a quick picture with my phone (which doubles as my GPS) and was on my way. I hope the CO doesn't admonish me for not having my GPS in the picture since I was using it to take the picture!

this is a place that I have passed 100's of times and never knew it was there, thanks for bringing it to my attention. I used my phone for the gps and camera so I put myself in it. This is my fiirst one for the GCGC relay

Historic Rosedale

I really enjoy virtual caches, and this one brought back some great memories. I spent about a month out here several years ago when my company painted Rosedale, and we go to know the staff very well. I got treated to several "insider tours" and learned a lot of history. The place still looks great, and it was fun to come back here and score a FTF on this nice virtual cache - thanks TH!!
