Visited with sfcchaz, today. After DNFing the other cache, we located this one with no problem. Very nice container and stamp. Would suggest a piece of felt to help wipe the stamp after using it.

Wasn't having a good day. Left my stamp and book at home, even thought Chaz asked me if I had my stamp. I had just put my walking stick in the back seat and thought he had said, "You got your staff?"

Then also forgot to drop the moving cache off here. Will come back with it, my stamp and stamp book when I come to get the traditional cache.

Smile Co-FTF Smile with DudleyGrunt at 9:00 AM. At least on this site Wink. There were a couple other stamps in the logbook that looked like pure letterboxers. Can the CO let me know if this cache is cross listed on any other listing services? Thanks.

 

I attempted this cache a month ago, but the CO had it in for maintenance. Once I saw the log about replacing it, I wanted to make another attempt. So I contacted DudleyGrunt about attempting it today. He was up for it, so we came out for the adventure. This is a very nicely done Letterbox and is in great shape. I placed my smiley face stamp in the logbook that I have been using since 2008 and took an impression of the letterbox stamp.

 

I gave a recommendation for this cache. Thanks for the fun.

sfcchaz: I was alerted that termites had infested the area it was hidden and removed the letterbox to clean it. You indeed found the previous spot! Today I rehid the letterbox in a new location at the park and updated the coordinates. I hope you can return to find it. Kind regards! - hannahgood

I believe this cache is gone. I found a stump that had some sheet rock type screw anchors in it that seemed real odd. Unless it was used with dowels to keep the top in place, which is no longer there. I checked all of the stumps in the area. Frown
