Visited the Battle site and hiked to the GZ of this cache. Never found yet, and hopefully still there at the base of a tree after 5 years...
Well, no, it wasn't there. All the clearings that might have been there in the past are filled in with thorny brambles, Found a hollow tree pretty close to the ostensible GZ, and at the end of a dead horizontal tree.
Placed a new cache at about 1 m altitude from the ground within the hollow portion of this tree. Hope the CO doesn't mind. Ready for the next opencacher to find it...
