Thursday, when I called the diner, my best guess was 20 attendees and
still wasn't sure we'd hit that. When I got there, straight from
dropping off scouts on the AT (near Hagerstown), at 7:15, there were
already 20 others waiting. Before the night was out, we'd had 50
(FIFTY!) people show up.
Thanks to ALL who came out and made this such a successful event.
I know some folks had some issues with orders being slow or wrong. I'm thinking these folks had the same waitress. I may send some notes out and check. Overall, though, I think they did a great job in adjusting to the influx on a busy Friday night. They pretty much stopped seating anyone else in "our" area, even though they'd only planned on having 2 tables of 10 set aside for us.
Thanks again for making this more that just about the numbers (11-11-11) and a chance to acknowledge Veterans Day together.

As expected, I arrived late, but there were still plenty of people there. Got to trade a few caching stories. DudleyGrunt handed me his new GeoKrety (Gary the Rubber Chicken) to start its journey. Thanks for setting this up DG.

This was a great time, and great food. I've been to this diner quite a few times, but this is the first time my food came out cold, but that was OK! Thanks for hosting!
