Opis EN
Yeatmans Cove is said to be GZ for when settlers came to what is now known as Cincinnati. It was also where pigs were brought into the city, moved to where Fountain Square is, then slaughtered, proccessed and sold.
Due to this, and the fact that this was known for being the largest pork processing region, Cinccinnati was given the nickname Porkopolis.
The Cove is now home to a number of entertainments, from a weekly party in the park to a number of marathons, The Flying Pig being the most well known.
Enjoy the view of the river from the Serpentine Wall, take some time to relax in the grass, or cool off at the water park near by before heading to the next stop in this tour.
This is what the park department has to say;
Sawyer Point & Yeatman’s Cove make up a mile long stretch of park along Cincinnati's riverfront between Smale Riverfront Park and Berry International Friendship Park. Featuring award winning landscaping, a performance pavilion, concessions, 8 outdoor tennis courts, 3 sand volleyball courts, a world class playground, the Armeleder Memorial Sprayground, bike rentals, the Serpentine Wall, the Public Landing, and the Showboat Majestic.

Interesujące miejsce --- This stainless steel sculpture is located in Bicentennial Commons at Sawyer Point near the Serpentine Wall along the Ohio River. Created by abstract sculptor David von Schlegell in 1980, this piece represents the spirit of those pioneers during the expansion to the west and the role that Cincinnati played in it. The sharp edges of the sculpture are said to symbolize a farmer’s plow or a boat and sail.
