Beschreibung EN

After checking on the Between BT and ERT cache, we searched about for a place to hide another cache. Jack didn't mind, he likes being in the woods. Okay, he gets a bit nervous in the woods after dark, but it was a full moon and there's also the ever-present glow of the city above and below. We followed the Escarpment Rail Trail as far as Uli's Stairs, and descended to the Bruce Trail. But I wasn't up to stumbling along the Bruce Trail back to the side trail, so we sent back up Uli's Stairs to the ERT. We could here some teens above us, somewhere up the escarpment. After resting a while, we made our way back to the lower portion of the Kenilworth stairs. But the metal stairs proved to be too much for Jack's pads, and so we only went down one section and joined up again to the Bruce. All that time I kept searching for a place to hide a cache. It's tough to do that in the dark, even with a good flashlight. I'm sure some of the exercise people, who go up and down the hundreds of metal stairs over and over wondered what we were doing, wandered off the trail. And keeping an eye on gps, almost too close to my other cache. decided to climb a ridge and found this plateau and finally, a good place to hide a cache. All I had was a micro; I will return with something larger next time I visit.

Best way to access is to park below on Kimberly Drive, climb the Kenilworth stairs to the Escarpment Rail Trail, and follow the paved trail until you cannot get any close without leaving the trail. You path to the trail should be fairly level. Or, you can follow the Bruce Trail, you will get within 50 feet of the cache but you will have a bit of a climb. Both work. The view from the cache is pretty good in the fall with the leaves off the tree. The terrain from the Escarpment Rail Trail to the cache is maybe a T2, maybe a T2.5; but you also should factor in a few hundred stairs to get you up to the trail. You could access from the escapment as well, if you can find parking.

The cache is a 60mL screw-top nalgene container. bring a pen.
