I already logged this once, but the OC site crashed. Here is my second attempt.

I had vaguely heard about this in the past. I remember the old NC plates used to say "First in Freedom" instead of "First in Flight".

I found this at night, thus the photo is a bit dark.

I had taken for granted the perceived signifigance of this location and date for a long time.  It wasn't until I did the research on in that I truly understood the importance or the perceived importance.  TFTC!

Most excellent education cache. Love the historical caches. Came up here for the CAA cache and was pleasantly surprised to see that we would be getting a twofer. Cool little history lesson, who knew. Thanks TermiteHunter for all that you are doing for this sport both in GC and on OC.

Finally managed to make it up here and log this virtual cache after looking at it for months.  I've learned more about the birth of our country through geocaching than all my years of school - just goes to show how valuable "field" work can be.  Thanks TH for another history lesson and another OCUS FTF!
