217 2010-10-10 13:30 recommendation Cayuga Crew (user activity80) - Found it

First off let me say that ever since I claimed my tenth Opencaching hide and was granted the power to recommend caches I have been hoping to find a cache thatt warranted recommendation to others and this one fit the bill.

Now that the formality of pushing the recommend button is over let me tell you a little of the story of how we came upon this cache in the Pennsylvania Wilds today.   It started early this morning with a planned canoeing cache trip into the Canadian wilderness.   Just prior to the scheduled departure for the trip north a couple of things changed and the trip was rerouted through central PA. I'll admit my butt is a little sore from the ride but had we not gone south I would have missed out on the best chipped beef on toast special at my favorite new PA eatery which for the life of me I can't remember the name of.  (Now I remember MYRA'S!) Anyway after eating and making our way to the game lands I parked the vehicle and placed Szuchie in charge of the rest of the hunt.

I think it best if he explains the rest of the story but I will say that we ended up finding the cache at the posted coords which happened to be the last placed we looked for it. I did enjoy the extended hike my tour guide took me on and I'm sure we saw much more of the game lands than the cache owners intended us to.  We were inspired to create a new Team CCC motto on the walk out and agreed that  "Team CCC, Overcoming incompetence one cache at a time"  was accurate and appropriate.

Honestly I think I speak for both of us when I say that this is our favorite king of cache offering a moderate hike through a scenic area.  I wish they all could be like this.  Thanks for placing it and I to will be waiting for Szuchie's explanation of how not to find a cache.  Hopefully he posts it soon.
