This was rather awesome! Lived in Western NY all my life and never heard of this overlook. And that includes having a Sister-In-Law (Wife's Brothers Wife) born and raised in Corning, and she certainly never mentioned it. The wife and 16 yr. old Son were sort of freaking out when I took her AWD Subaru Forester into the woods on the the dirt road, but I was like, Chill, you're in a AWD small SUV here. When they finally got there, I'd say they liked it. As a matter of fact, had to tell the wife it was time to go, after she was obsessed with the two Eagles in a tree with several other visitors. I learned (through EarthCaching) that Bath, and the entire I-390/US 17 Corridor was a textbook example of a glaciated plateau. Did you ever notice all the hills are like identical to each other, and all the same height while driving through there? I did on my dozens of trips through the area, and wanted to check it out from "up top". Thanks for finding this thing, I am giving it a recommendation.
